Tasting – Exmu Distillery
For the first time in the over twenty-year history of tastings by Milano Whiskey Festival, we will dedicate a tasting to an Italian distillery, the EXMU distillery.

EXMU is located in Bancali in the province of Sassari.

EXMU was born from the vision of Alessandro and Simona, who expanded their farm with a brewery and then with a distillery, starting with gin and then with whisky.

But the name EXMU? EXMU stands for Ex-Milking Machine, the Still House was born inside the former room dedicated to milking animals

EXMU is produced entirely in Sardinia, from barley to bottle, the barley is grown in the fields surrounding the distillery with over 200 hours of fermentation (Planet variety barley), the whiskey is distilled with a direct fire pot-still still .

It is aged in barrels, ex-bourbon, ex-sherry or virgin oak.

We will taste the first 5 bottlings made by the distillery, these are 5 Single Casks, not cold filtered and without the addition of caramel.
