Attraverso cinque espressioni, dal GlenAllachie 12 Year Old alle release Sinteis III e IV, passando per il 19 Year Old Ex-Solera e il Meikle Tòir Chinquapin, esploreremo approcci diversi all’utilizzo del legno, tra selezione delle botti, affinamenti e ricerca dell’equilibrio.

Gary Haggart e Lindores Abbey Distillery: la casa spirituale del whisky
Uno straordinario viaggio in sei dram attraverso la storia delle Lowlands e del Fife, raccontata da uno dei progetti più interessanti del nuovo millennio: una distilleria con radici che affondano in un documento di oltre cinquecento anni fa.
Nel 1494, tra le mura dell'abbazia di Lindores, frate John Cor riceve il malto per produrre aqua vitae. È la prima testimonianza scritta del whisky in Scozia. Distillery manager di Lindores fin dall'apertura, Gary Haggart ha fatto il primo cut di aqua vite nell'abbazia dopo oltre cinque secoli.
Al Milano Whisky Festival ci racconta la sua visione del whisky contemporaneo.

Dal cuore dello Speyside, presentiamo Ballindalloch distillery per la prima volta a Milano.
Parliamo di “Single Estate Whiskies”, considerando che le materie prime (orzo e acqua) provengono al 100% dalla produzione della tenuta stessa, rendendo questi malti unici nel suo genere.
Aperta nel 2014, la distilleria ha una capacità produttiva minima, calcolata sulla produzione interna dell’orzo e rispetta metodi te tempi di produzione tipici del vecchio stile Speyside con ammostamento, fermentazione e distillazione con tempi ampiamente superiori agli standard. Invecchiamenti di minimo 9 anni, con release annuali e per singoli paesi (Vintage) o Single Casks a grado pieno.
Vi presentiamo la selezione disponibile in Italia con l’anteprima dell’edizione limitata, dedicata al 150mo anniversario dell’Aberdeen-Angus, realizzato per la prima volta, 150 anni fa, proprio nella fattoria della tenuta Ballindalloch. Oltre a questa, sarà presente in degustazione anche l’edizione limitata di una delle primissime botti prodotte nell’anno di apertura della distilleria, la botte #54, 2014 ex-Sherry Oloroso, di primo passaggio, non disponibile in Italia

The 21st edition of the Milano Whisky Festival and Rum Show will be held at the Marriott Hotel in Via Washington 66. The Milano Whisky Festival & Rum Show 2026 aims, over an intense three days, to be the only event in Italy capable of bringing together the most important distributors and the most renowned distilleries of Scotch Whisky, Irish Whiskey, Bourbon, Far Eastern Whiskey, Rum, Ron and Rhum.
This year too, in addition to the rich program of events and free tastings; there will be no shortage of guided tastings, which will allow visitors and professionals in the sector to gain in-depth knowledge of the quality of the products on the Italian market.
